Wiring Harness Technician

Desirable knowledge and experience

* HNC/HND in an automotive subject an advantage (time served technicians considered)

* Previous experience in a prototype wiring harness assembly environment

* Experience with wiring harness design software, an advantage

The job includes

• Build wiring harnesses (terminal crimping, wire stripping, looms…etc.) according to technical drawings and specification

• Solder electrical components for assembly process (through hole and SMT).

• Perform hand assembly steps and box builds.

• Follow detailed assembly instructions.

• Perform quality checks (automated and manual).

• Share ideas for improvements to process to increase efficiency

• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

• Any other tasks needed to get the job done.

• Being prepared to adopt a flexible approach to working hours to ensure development activities are carried out as and when required.
