12-Month Industrial Placement – Vehicle Performance and Simulation Engineer

Cupra Kiro Formula E Team have an exciting opportunity for an undergraduate student studying an Engineering Degree to join our team for a 12-month industrial placement in the Vehicle Performance Group.

 

Cupra Kiro are a leading race team currently competing in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Located at Silverstone Park, Northamptonshire, the team are looking for a driven, ambitious individual to be part of the team as they head into the Gen4 era, bringing exciting new engineering challenges.

 

The suitable candidate will report directly to a Senior member of the Vehicle Performance team and will be responsible for assisting in topics such as:

  • Simulation.
  • Performance Engineering.
  • Assist Pre-Post Event Reporting for the Trackside Team.
  • Competitor analysis.
  • Continuous development of industry leading Vehicle Performance understanding and analysis techniques.
  • Tool development.
  • Opportunity to support Race/Test Events from the teams Mission Control.

 

During this time, you will be treated as a fully-fledged member of the engineering team and required to assist wherever support is needed across the team. You will be exposed to a breadth and depth of experience that you are unlikely to get anywhere else with genuine responsibility and scope to make a real impact.

 

What we are looking for:

  • A highly motivated student who is passionate about motorsport, with a desire to learn and develop.
  • Keen interest in Vehicle Performance and Simulation.
  • Someone who is ready for the challenge with a desire to win!
  • Strong team player with good communicators skills who is willing to develop relationships across the team, and with a goal of returning to our team after their studies.
