About the Role
Garage 59 are looking for a experienced and dedicated Truckie to join our race team on a full-time basis. This is very much a hands-on role within a fast-paced motorsport environment, responsible for the safe transport of race cars, equipment and infrastructure across the UK and Europe. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, enjoy being part of a close-knit team, and be ready to support the team both in the workshop and at the circuit.
Key Responsibilities
- Transportation of team cars, pit equipment, tools and spares to and from race events, test days, and workshops
- Drive and maintain articulated race transporters and support vehicles
- Carry out driving jobs for local collections, deliveries, and logistics across the UK and Europe when required
- Assist with garage and paddock setup, including pit walls, awnings and workspaces
- Support pit crew operations and all general race weekend duties
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) license
- Driver CPC qualification
- Previous experience in motorsport logistics, race team support, or similar event-based work
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical skills
- Flexibility to weekends with long hours and travel internationally
- Organised, reliable and an excellent team player
- Forklift certification would be advantageous
- Knowledge of European transport regulations and border documentation
