General Summary: 
This position reports to the Stores & Inventory Manager or their designee; is located in Banbury, UK. The role coordinates the activities of the factory & Race team to ensure an effective parts supply to all the events within the car program. Working with various departments and technical partners this role will ensure components are delivered correctly and timely to trackside whilst insuring Lifting build compliance. 

 

General Responsibilities:
•    Manage Parts supply trackside at race and test events ensuing auditable inventory accountability.
•    Maintain processes and auditability of the race spares whilst in Banbury. 
•    Lead the parts coordination Lifecheck duties of current car trackside, liaising with the other Parts Coordinators.  

 

Key Responsibilities: 
•    Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
•    Travel to Race and Test events working under the direction of the Race Team Chief Mechanic ensuring a professional parts service.
•    Work with other stores, logistics and parts coordinators to create an auditable and accurate store department, conducting accurate receipting and picking to guarantee accurate stock control and accountability for stock movements.
•    Lead in season and end of year Race stock inventory checks. 
•    Manage supply of key components from our technical partners.
•    Ability to understand technical drawings and 3D models to ensure supply is to the correct build specification. 
•    Ensure part marking and serialization meets the governing body requirements to maintain compliance. 
•    Maintain and follow standard operating procedures for parts coordination duties at events. 
•    Replenishes travelling stores to an agreed level in between events. Informs the PMO team of any shortages and keeps track of delivery status.
•    Working with the trackside team to ensure Turnaround Sheets and Event Planner documents are pre-populated accordingly in line with strip and build plans stipulated by the RTS Manager and Chief Mechanics.
•    Work with the parts and stores coordinator on any given tasks.
•    Support loading and unloading of freight requirements alongside the logistic team.
•    Follow all safety regulations in all venues.
•    Assumes any responsibilities and duties delegated by the Stores & Inventory Manager or their designee.

 

Education and Work Experience:
•    GSCE, High School education or equivalent required.  
•    Typically requires at least 5 year of parts supply chain operational experience within the motorsport industry. 
•    Must have a valid driver’s license and meet liability/casualty insurance requirements.
•    Leadership experience preferred.
 
Specialized Knowledge and Skills: 
•    Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
•    Good computer skills, ideally with experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365, Excel, Power Bi, Outlook and Teams. 
•    Good technical knowledge of race car part and assemblies; including vendors, part functions, Serialization and part numbers.  
•    Experience using part marking machines is desirable.  
•    Strong organizational and time management under limited time situations.
•    Integration within a growing team with a can-do attitude, solid team ethic and people skills.
•    Quick decision-making skills whilst working through problems in a scientific and analytical way.
•    A sympathetic approach to your work colleagues and an ability to integrate within a group environment.
•    A can-do positive approach and a willingness to help others is essential.

 

Equipment and Applications: 
•    Solid computer knowledge, preferred experience in Microsoft Office, D365 products.
•    Forklift license would be preferable.
•    Ability to follow complex regulations related to shipment of materials and facility maintenance requirements.

Work Environment Physical Demands:
An ability to work and prioritize within a high pressure, time sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential. The role may require occasional domestic & international travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends.

 

This position may require lifting to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Fast-paced work environment requiring heavy mental demands. Work environment includes machinery, race cars, 7-post and other rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids. All employees must ensure compliance with the Company Health and Safety Policy, and all relevant other statutory Health and Safety legislation.
