Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.  
 
Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.  
 
The new team has three locations. The Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Sauber Motorsport Technical Center, UK will be operational this year. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations.

The position for the Audi F1 Project is to be filled at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg (Germany).
 
In the field of high-voltage storage development, you will work on the key component of electric high-performance drive systems and play your part in ensuring we are able to succeed in a highly competitive environment. From requirements management and methods development right through to the detailed design, you will develop HV storage concepts for high-performance motorsport applications.
 
This position is available starting February 1, 2026.

 

Your Mission

• Perform strength analyzes and static & dynamic simulations
• Create finite element models and evaluate and validate the results
• Document and present the analysis results
• Support and coordinate external service providers
• Produce preliminary design and design of connecting elements
• Enhance simulation methods and processes as well as material models
• Define appropriate test bench trials for validating simulation parameters

 

Your Profile

• Degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or comparable advanced training
• Several years of experience in the field of structural analysis with a focus on FEM
• In-depth knowledge in the area of materials as well as the design of composite parts
• Skills in handling FE tools such as Abaqus, Optistruct, Nastran, and Ansa
• Extensive experience of design and knowledge of using Catia V5
• Willingness to take on design tasks in addition to structural analysis
• Experience in the area of HV batteries and structural integration of battery cells is advantageous
• Full professional proficiency in German or English and a willingness to achieve a basic level in the corresponding other language are prerequisites
• Strong implementation skills and a high level of motivation and personal initiative
• Excellent team skills 
• Goal-oriented, independent, and structured working practices
• Ability to make decisions and handle conflicts
• Experience in working together with international companies
