  • Calibration of model parameters and correlation with track data
  • Refine tools for correlation, data analysis and optimisation
  • Collaborate with trackside engineers to apply the tools and identify improvements to models and processes
  • Development of engineering tools, templates and resources in collaboration with Race and Performance Engineers

Qualifications & Experience
Essential:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or numerate discipline
  • Experience with motorsport laptime simulation tools (e.g. VSM, ChassisSim, Canopy etc)
  • Experience developing & implementing mathematical models in a simulation environment
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g. Matlab, Python, C etc.)
  • Strong understanding of race car systems (suspension, aerodynamics, powertrain, tyres)

Desirable:

  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, especially Motorsport or Automotive Engineering
  • Proficiency with motorsport data analysis software (e.g. Toolbox, i2, Wintax etc)
  • Expertise in vehicle dynamics and/or tyre modelling
  • Expertise in applied mathematics, ideally in several of the following areas: modelling, optimisation, parallelisation, iterative solvers, non-linear state estimation, or statistics

Personality

  • Has a passion for delivering excellence with a high attention to detail
  • Is self-motivated, comfortable working with minimal supervision and can prioritise and manage their own workload
  • Wishes to continually expand their professional knowledge
  • Has a proactive attitude
