Engineer the connections that keep a global Formula 1 team moving:

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Senior Network Engineer to take technical ownership of our global networking estate, ensuring the availability, performance, security and resilience of the services underpinning critical race operations and business systems.

As our network design authority and senior escalation point, you'll shape the evolution of our network across on-premises, cloud and trackside environments, driving modernisation through software-defined networking, automation and secure-by-design engineering.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the design, delivery, security and continuous improvement of our global networking estate across on-premises, cloud and trackside environments.
  • Own the lifecycle of enterprise LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless and secure remote connectivity.
  • Maintain and optimise routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, load balancing and network access control, ensuring performance, resilience and availability.
  • Embed secure-by-design principles and network security controls, working closely with the Security function.
  • Lead network projects and improvements through to delivery, managing technical risks, dependencies and change.
  • Provide 3rd line support and senior technical escalation for network incidents, leading root cause analysis and service improvement.
  • Drive network automation, infrastructure-as-code, standardised deployment and proactive monitoring across the estate.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, influencing technical standards and direction while mentoring and guiding junior engineers and colleagues.
  • Apply your broader infrastructure knowledge to support integrated solutions across the Infrastructure, Cloud and Apps team when required.

What We're Looking For

  • BSc, MIS or another IT-related qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
  • More than 7 years of progressive IT experience, including at least 3 years in a networking role.
  • Proven hands-on experience designing, implementing and operating complex enterprise networks.
  • Strong knowledge of routing, switching, wireless, network segmentation, enterprise firewalls and SD-WAN.
  • Strong understanding of secure access architectures such as ZTNA and SASE, alongside zero-trust, network access control, micro-segmentation and secure-by-design principles.
  • Strong knowledge of network services and protocols including DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, QoS, Multicast and 802.1X.
  • Strong network monitoring, fault diagnosis, performance tuning and optimisation capability.
  • Experience independently delivering complex technical work in high-performance environments.
  • Flexibility to support major incidents and time-critical issues outside normal working hours where reasonably required.

It Would Be an Advantage If You Also Have

  • Relevant IT, networking and cyber/information security certifications.
  • Experience in international, high-performance or mission-critical environments.
  • Cloud and cloud-native networking knowledge, including Microsoft Azure, multi-cloud or Kubernetes networking.
  • Experience with network automation and infrastructure-as-code technologies such as Ansible, Terraform or Python.
  • Familiarity with observability and telemetry-driven analytics.
  • Broader infrastructure knowledge across virtualisation, containerisation, Microsoft Server, Linux, cloud, compute and storage.
  • Exposure to platform engineering or DevOps practices, including CI/CD, automation and orchestration.
  • Experience supporting time-sensitive, mission-critical or trackside/remote connectivity.
