This is NOT an entry level position, to be considered for this role, you will need previous experience in motorsport, and history of high standards..
Responsibilities:
Provide highest level of workmanship on all Multimatic GT programs.
Oversee assigned areas of mechanical assembly as directed by the Crew Chiefs.
Ensure that all work performed is thorough, methodical and to the highest possible level in motor racing.
Establish good working knowledge of the GTD / GT3 class product and its sub-components and assembly required.
Report all quality and any part anomalies that could affect assembly or performance.
Organize tools, parts and anything required to ensure efficiency.
Assist Crew Chiefs in organizing work load, flow; assist when required on sub-assembly, parts, wherever there is a need.
Develop safe and practical methods to optimize race car assembly and preparation.
Support other co-workers with similar tasks in achieving the highest level of workmanship.
Identify problem areas related to assembly when applicable and report to chief mechanic.
On occasion, perform tasks as requested by team principal.
Provide support for all pit stop activities under the direction of the number one mechanic.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Work closely and communicate well with other team members
Recognize and communicate potential improvements for safety, quality of product and time of car completion
Follow safety guidelines and company procedures
Perform other duties as assigned.
This role will require you to work at both the racetrack and the workshop. The nature of the work will require you to work extended hours and on some weekends.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Comprehensive mechanical understanding gained through experience in motorsports at high level. This is not an entry position – this is a professional race team operating at the top level of North American sportscar racing. Applicants with IMSA experience preferred.
Solid base of mechanical skills with emphasis on motor racing cars.
Mechanical skills and knowledge of road and race cars is imperative.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
An entrepreneurial mindset and roll-up-the-sleeves work ethic.
Ability to successfully interact with all levels of employees in a multicultural environment.
Excellent communication skills.
Organized, accurate, meticulous in work approach.
Completion of technical education in preferably in automotive mechanics or related field similar background.
GRIT
Candidates must be authorized to work in the USA. International and domestic travel with the team to races and test is expected and required for this position.
