Production Planning Specialist

 

Full Time.      Hybrid.      Frankfurt, Germany.      With Professional Experience

 

 

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Production Planning Specialist to support our Customer Racing production activities. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the planning, coordination and continuous improvement of vehicle manufacturing programs within a world-class motorsport environment.

 

Your Mission

As a Production Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating production planning activities across Customer Racing vehicle programs, ensuring material availability, production readiness and efficient manufacturing operations. Working closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Stores, Manufacturing and external suppliers, you will help deliver vehicles and components on time, to the required quality standards and in line with business objectives.

You will contribute to the optimization of production processes, maintain accurate production planning data, and support the successful execution of both current and future Customer Racing projects. Your work will directly impact the efficiency, quality and performance of Hyundai Motorsport's manufacturing operations.

 

Main tasks

  • Plan and coordinate Customer Racing vehicle production activities, including TCR i30, i20 programs and future vehicle development projects.
  • Create and manage production schedules based on inventory levels, available resources, workforce capacity and sales forecasts.
  • Raise purchase requests and issue production orders through the ERP system (SAP).
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure material availability for vehicle assembly and manufacturing activities.
  • Develop, maintain and modify production Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support vehicle production and maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with engineering, purchasing, stores, mechanics and external suppliers to ensure production readiness and timely delivery.
  • Conduct quality monitoring and follow-up activities for assemblies, completed vehicles and individual components.
  • Manage subcontracting and rework processes, ensuring quality, cost and schedule requirements are met.
  • Identify manufacturing bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and production performance.
  • Support production process development related to assembly operations, tooling, facilities and in-house manufacturing capabilities.
  • Generate production-related reports and maintain accurate planning data within SAP and other business systems.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a comparable qualification.
  • Experience in production planning, manufacturing, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Experience in automotive, motorsport or manufacturing industries is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of BOM management and production control processes.
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Analytical and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
