What You’ll Do
- Oversee all parts inventory for multiple race programs, ensuring accuracy, availability, and readiness for shop and track operations.
- Manage ordering, receiving, labeling, stocking, and tracking of all components, consumables, and assemblies.
- Maintain and optimize the team’s parts management software Lifecheck, ensuring mileage, lifeing, and usage data are always current.
- Build and maintain standardized processes for inventory control, including reorder points, vendor management, and quality checks.
- Prepare and pack parts for race and test events, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with series regulations.
- Collaborate with crew chiefs, mechanics, engineers, and leadership to forecast needs and support car builds, repairs, and development projects.
- Track component lifing to manufacturer specifications and team standards, ensuring no part exceeds its safe or legal limits.
- Manage returns, warranty claims, and vendor relationships with professionalism and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready parts department at all times.
- Support the team at events, including parts distribution, emergency sourcing, and real-time inventory updates.
What You’ll Need
- Minimum 3 years parts management & ordering experience.
- Ability to read & interpret motorsport parts manuals and technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of GT3, LMP2 or similar high-performance race components, assemblies, and lifing requirements (preferred).
- Proficiency with inventory management systems; experience with Lifecheck is a plus.
- Strong Excel skills for tracking, reporting, and data accuracy.
- Working knowledge of international shipping processes, including carnets, customs documentation, and global logistics.
- Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, DHL, and USPS shipping systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, build sheets, and manufacturer documentation.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with technical and operational staff.
- Ability to travel extensively to races and tests as required.
- Ability to lift and move parts and equipment safely in a shop environment.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and prevent issues before they arise.
