An opportunity has arisen for a Parts Coordinator to join the Jaguar TCS Racing department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment.

About the role

To manage all car parts of the Jaguar TCS Racing Formula E project throughout their life cycle.

What you will do

  • Take complete ownership of all car parts, including both in-house designed and third party supplied components, after release from bonded warehouse, across both Jaguar Racing and its customer teams as relevant.
  • Collate part requirements from different departments and action via procurement all nominated supplier car component orders to support both race and test team car build activities.
  • In conjunction with material controller, senior controller and stock controller, create sales order pick lists for all car build / rig build activities and check off physical hardware into build trolleys as required.
  • Ensure components adhere to homologation documentation by cross-checking inspection reports and populating homologation tracking system with key parameters (weights, critical dimensions, etc) before any component is released for car build.
  • In conjunction with stakeholders, allocate all lifed parts and hardware to vehicles / rigs in advance of builds ensuring advance allocation aligns with build plans and schedules.
  • Life all hardware across race, test and rig activities using lifing software in a prompt and conscientious fashion, chasing stakeholders for information and questioning any inconsistencies. Flag car parts for service / replacement based on pre-defined service and total life limits.
  • Ensure all hardware is serial numbered using lifing software as the reference, before being fitted to cars or rigs. Ensure trackside staff are serial numbering new hardware when received trackside (utilising appropriate comms to ensure correctly numbered).
  • Expect to attend events for stock check or “live lifing” as required.
  • Create consumption reports post event (race / test/ rig) and chase if necessary. Using these consumption reports, update trackside stock sheets to prompt re-order of components ensuring minimum agreed stocks are always available in spares stocks.
  • Track all customer hardware, including associated admin (part location / service history / accident damage recording / scrapping etc) in lifing software.
  • Manage the storage of car parts that aren’t in use, both current and historic, ensuring locations are updated and accurate inventories are kept of components in long term stores for future use.
  • Assist with the packing of race, test and late freight shipments as required.
  • Contribute to the philosophy and ethos of the continuous improvement of the team by manging the above processes to a high level of detail.
  • Assist in Identifying ways to improve the department and personnel performance.
  • Maintain positive relationships with all other factory departments and company personnel.
  • Maintain high standard of staff and department presentation.
  • Be able to work under their own initiative when necessary.
  • To have a ‘can do’ proactive attitude and proactively support others to compete their tasks.
  • Complete tasks within agreed time frames.
  • On occasion, work outside of ‘normal’ hours.
  • To follow and actively enforce the company’s health and Safety policy.
