We are looking for an experienced No1 Mechanic to join our successful Essex based historic racing team on a full time basis.
Primarily we are looking for someone who is self motivated, has an eye for detail and takes pride in their work. We are a small close knit team and as such an ability to work in such environment is essential. The work is very diverse ranging from Primarily Single seater F1 cars through sports prototypes to touring cars. We have a good history of success in the past and are looking to build on this with some exciting new future projects.
As a team we have won the FIA historic F1 championship, Group C championship and Monaco 10 times.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a strong hands-on background in vehicle mechanics; including diagnostics, repairs and planned maintenance.
- Be a team player willing to support the rest of the team in any reasonable capacity.
- Be punctual and motivated, including an ability to self manage and work to a high standard.
- Basic knowledge, understanding and ability to apply car setups
- Show a desire to maintain a great working environment, both at the workshop and in circuit garages.
- Have a driving license (HGV Preferred but not essential) and passport, and be happy to travel to test and race events across the country and Europe.
- A minimum of 3 years experience at No.1 or No.2 race mechanic level.
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines when required.
- Can work effectively as part of a team or individually.
- Be able to communicate well with customers, suppliers and staff.
- Be well presented, well organized and have the desire to place quality first.
