Location: Multimatic Motorsports USA, Mooresville, North Carolina, United States

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work in a specialty racing shop environment assembling/building GT3 production race cars
  • First stage chassis preparation, bonding, plumbing installation as well as assisting in installation of engine, oiling systems, cooling systems, A/C system, transaxle, brakes, suspension components, etc.
  • Follow instructions of assembly procedures and torque specifications
  • Work closely and communicate well with other team members to efficiently complete car builds on schedule
  • Recognize and communicate potential improvements for safety, quality of product and time of car completion
  • Follow safety guidelines and company procedures

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience building and/or maintaining race cars in IMSA, WEC, IndyCar, F1, NASCAR, or similar performance cars.
  • Knowledge of engine, brakes, suspension, oiling, cooling, fuel systems, wiring installations, and other mechanical installations
  • Knowledge of metric, imperial, aircraft hardware and experience with the necessary tools for installation, assembly and torquing of hardware
  • Be organized and keep assembly area safe and clean
  • This work requires quality, consistent work and flexibility under critical time deadlines. It may require extended hours and some work on the weekends depending on the timelines. 
  • Requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in tight spaces (e.g., the interior of a car), work under car on jack stands.
