Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.
Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.
The new team has three locations. The Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Sauber Motorsport Technical Center, UK will be operational this year. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations.

The position for the Audi F1 Project is to be filled at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg (Germany).
At Audi Formula Racing GmbH, you lead the procurement team and are responsible for all procurement activities for the Audi F1 Powertrain. Procurement forms the backbone for the provision and availability of parts for our power unit development and racing engines. Together with program management, we form a central interface between the technical departments, our supply chain, and the financial management of the company. We operate in a highly exciting, always time-critical, and rapidly changing environment. Through intensive collaboration with our internal stakeholders and suppliers, we ensure transparency to achieve project goals and early identification of project risks. Alongside high self-expectations, communication readiness, and team performance, we also prioritize enjoyment at work!
Your Mission
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies tailored to the specific requirements of motorsport/Formula 1 environments
- Analyzing and optimizing procurement processes to maximize efficiency and speed
- Selecting and evaluating suppliers who can deliver high-quality and specialized components at F1 benchmark level
- Negotiating contracts and conditions to secure necessary capacities and achieve demanding delivery times
- Further developing the supplier network to ensure access to the latest trends and technologies
- Building and maintaining intensive and long-term relationships with strategic suppliers for the Audi F1 project
- Monitoring the procurement budget while focusing on high-quality parts availability
- Identifying potential savings without compromising delivery performance and quality
- Training and development of employees to ensure they are familiar with the latest trends and technologies in motorsport
- Continuously identifying and assessing risks in the procurement process, particularly regarding the availability and quality of components (short- and medium-term)
- Developing measures to minimize risks to ensure all parts are delivered on time and in perfect condition
- Creating reports and analyzes for senior management that demonstrate the performance and efficiency of procurement
- Departmental performance will be measured and reported with agreed KPI's which have to be kept updated and reported on a regular base
- Ensuring suppliers are selected with robust quality and control processes to protect our products from supplier defects
- Ensuring a systematic quality assessment process is supported during the selection process
- Ensuring for new suppliers and new parts releases a systematic quality release process is adhered to
- Ensuring SAP Masterdata is maintained and updated with the latest information available
- Continues improvement of part leadtimes is essential in our business
- Coordinating and driving activities at suppliers to reduce leadtimes and eliminate waste in the manufacturing process
- Ensuring a high focus is set on on-time delivery of parts against internal milestones
- Ensuring capacity risks and consequences for on-time delivery is understood in the detail
