ACI Motorsport is a professional GT racing team based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, operating from a purpose-built facility of over 4,000 square meters. The team has been competing since 2016.

We prepare and campaign cars across sprint and endurance GT competition in North America, working with machinery from multiple manufacturers. Every car is prepared to the highest standards by an experienced technical team, with the same attention to detail applied whether the car is running a test day or a championshi round.

Since entering SRO competition in 2023, ACI Motorsport has taken drivers' championships in both SRO GT4 America and Porsche Carrera Cup North America, and has established a record of front-running results across every program it enters.

About the Team

ACI Motorsport is a multi-championship-winning operation, reigning 2025 Porsche Carrera Cup North America (PCCNA) Pro-Am Champions and runner-up in SRO GT4 America Pro-Am. We currently campaign fourteen cars across three championships — six in PCCNA, four in Porsche Sprint Challenge, and four in SRO GT4 America (two Porsche, two BMW). With expansion planned for the 2027 season into SRO GT3, IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, Porsche Carrera Cup, and SRO GT4, we are seeking talented individuals to join our growing operation at the highest levels of North American motorsport.

Essential Functions

  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and interpret data to make performance-enhancing recommendations.
  • Simulation and Data Analysis: Use simulation tools, analyze statistical data, and manage fuel and tire mileage.
  • Vehicle Dynamics: Apply a strong understanding of how GT3 machinery responds to setup changes, adjustments, and track conditions to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Race-Related Performance Engineering: Optimize performance across aerodynamics, suspension tuning, damper and balance work, and fuel management.
  • Driver Management: Work closely with Pro and Am drivers, adapting communication style and setup direction to each driver's experience level and feedback.
  • Strategy: Contribute to race strategy calls, including pit windows, driver changes, tire allocation, and fuel management under SRO and IMSA regulations.
  • Pre-Event & Post-Event Reporting: Produce detailed pre- and post-event reports covering both technical performance and team operations.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain precision in all engineering and performance optimization work.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to convey ideas and data effectively to drivers, crew, and management.
  • Track Support: Willingness and ability to travel extensively, as race events and testing occur at locations across North America.
  • Team Player: Work collaboratively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Integrity: Maintain a high level of honesty and professionalism in a competitive racing context.

Education and Experience Requirements

Experience

  • A minimum of five years in a race engineering role working with GT3 machinery.
  • Direct experience engineering GT3 cars in SRO and/or IMSA competition.
  • Strong working knowledge of either Mercedes-AMG GT3 or Porsche 911 GT3 R, including manufacturer support processes, homologated setup windows, and standard control systems.
  • Experience managing Pro-Am driver pairings is highly desirable.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, Motorsport, or related discipline).

Technical and Computer Skills

Advanced computer skills are essential, particularly in:

  • Pi Cosworth software for data collection and analysis.
  • Bosch and Cosworth control and logging systems as fitted to current GT3 platforms.
  • MATLAB for simulations, data analysis, and engineering computations.
  • KPI data collection systems for performance metrics tracking.
  • HH Timing — strong working knowledge required.
  • Vehicle dynamics simulation and lap-time simulation tools.

Pay & Benefits

Competitive salary commensurate with experience. All travel expenses (flights, hotels, meals ) covered by the team.
