We're seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join our team of engineers developing and supporting electrical & electronic solutions for use on our race, rally and road projects.

Depending on company requirements this role could involve either or a combination of new development projects or support and design of components for legacy projects.

Due to the nature of our operations, this vacancy is onsite in Banbury, Oxfordshire, UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive our electrical design team to achieve electrical solutions for our motorsport products.
  • Design of electrical systems both on and off vehicle (harnesses, actuators, sensors, control units).
  • Production of schematics and manufacturing drawings of electrical harnesses and components.
  • Diagnosis of electrical faults, working through problems methodically, both in hardware and software.
  • Produce documentation (internal and customer facing) to assist with electrical installations.
  • Releasing of parts and assembly structures onto bill of materials.
  • Work with other departments and customers to support the design and implementation of electrical components.
  • Support onsite harness manufacturing and car build with troubleshooting of electrical and electronic issues, working through problems methodically.

Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s or Equivalent in Motorsport, Electrical Engineering or another relevant degree.
  • Strong automotive or motorsport understanding of electrical systems.
  • Strong understanding of relevant communication protocols such as CAN, LIN & Ethernet.
  • Fluent in the use of computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Zuken E3 or another ECAD package is an advantage.
  • Ability to operate both independently and in a collaborative, team environment.
  • Ability to work effectively and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel and support cars on event or test.
