Rodin Motorsport is seeking a driven and capable individual to lead the fitness and performance function at our Driver Performance Centre. This role is ideal for a recent sports science or human performance graduate with strong business acumen, a hands-on coaching mindset, and a passion for motorsport. You will play a key role in developing the physical and mental capabilities of drivers across all levels of our programme.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations & Coaching
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the gym and training facilities
- Deliver individual and group fitness sessions, including strength & conditioning, mobility, and recovery
- Ensure safe and effective use of all equipment, maintaining high facility standards
Driver Benchmarking & Development
- Conduct physical assessments and performance profiling of drivers (including VO2 max, body composition, reaction time, etc.)
- Track and report driver progress using measurable performance metrics
- Develop tailored fitness and wellness plans for each driver based on their role and goals
Performance Support
- Coordinate with engineering and sim teams to integrate physical and cognitive training with simulator and track work
- Support driver preparation before races and testing, including warm-ups, recovery, and nutrition guidance
- Liaise with external specialists (nutritionists, physios, psychologists) where necessary
Business & Programme Development
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the Driver Performance Centre’s services and offering
- Prepare presentations, reports, and insights for internal use and sponsor engagement
- Assist in planning and delivering workshops, training camps, and content for partner organisations
Requirements:
- A degree in Sports Science, Strength & Conditioning, Human Performance or related field (MSc desirable)
- Relevant fitness and coaching certifications (e.g. UKSCA, NSCA, BASES, or equivalent)
- Experience working with athletes, ideally in motorsport, elite sport, or youth development
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Confident using performance tracking and analysis tools (e.g. ForceDecks, Polar/Garmin, Whoop, timing gates, etc.)
- Ability to work flexibly, including travel to race events and tests as required
- Interest in data-driven performance management and continuous improvement
Desirable:
- Understanding of the demands of motorsport and associated physical/mental load
- Experience in business or operational roles (project planning, budgeting, reporting)
- A proactive, self-starting attitude with a team-first mindset
