General Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Digital Innovation Specialist to lead and execute forward-looking technology initiatives across the organisation. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer or their designee and located in Banbury, UK, this role is ideal for a seasoned IT professional with a passion for innovation, emerging technologies, and AI-driven transformation. The successful candidate will strive to identify, prototype, and deliver high-impact technology solutions that align with cross-departmental strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
• Lead exploratory and strategic technology projects, from concept through to proof-of-concept, pilot and deployment.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies for potential application within the business.
• Review and enhance existing technologies and processes to ensure they are optimally leveraged and delivering maximum business value.
• Partner with vendors, startups, and academic institutions to explore innovations and collaboration opportunities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business units and external partners to drive innovation.
• Act as a thought leader and internal consultant on technology trends and emerging technology capability.
• Create prototypes and business cases to support innovation initiatives.
• Stay abreast of industry developments and continuously scan the horizon for disruptive technologies.
• Prepare and present findings, project updates, and recommendations to the CIO and wider leadership team.
• Support governance efforts around responsible AI use, data ethics, and innovation risk management.
• Work with cybersecurity teams to ensure new technologies meet risk, sporting and regulatory requirements.
• Follow all safety regulations in all venues.
• Other duties as assigned by the Chief Information Officer or their designee.

Education and Work Experience:
A GCSE, High School Diploma, or equivalent is required. Candidates must also have further education such as a BSc, MIS, or equivalent experience in a similar IT role. A minimum of 8 years’ experience in IT is essential, with a proven track record in project delivery and the deployment of innovative technologies. At least 3 of those years must be in a similar role, demonstrating successful cross-functional collaboration across business units and consistent project execution. IT certifications and experience in international environments are considered advantageous.
Work Environment Physical Demands:
An ability to work and prioritize within a high pressure, time sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential. The role may require occasional travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends.
