OVERDRIVE RACING is a leading motorsport team, spearheading the development of the Toyota Hilux program in the World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC). Winner of the most recent Dakar Rally, the team continues to expand its engineering department and is currently seeking two highly skilled Chassis Design Engineers to strengthen its technical capabilities.
Position Summary
As a Mechanical Parts Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and optimization of next-generation rally-raid vehicles. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the structural performance, reliability, and competitiveness of our chassis systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Chassis design & structural analysis: Develop lightweight yet durable chassis structures, leveraging advanced materials and innovative techniques (e.g., freeform design) to maximize strength, stiffness, and performance.
- Vehicle setup & optimization: Adjust chassis parameters (geometry, weight distribution, damping systems, anti-roll bars) and tire configurations to enhance grip, handling, and dynamic behavior.
- Data analysis: Interpret and evaluate test data to identify performance gaps and propose engineering improvements.
- Driver collaboration: Work closely with drivers and race engineers to translate feedback into actionable design and setup adjustments.
Candidate Profile
- Engineering degree (Mechanical, Automotive, or related field).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in vehicle design and development, ideally within a manufacturer or motorsport environment.
- Proven background in chassis engineering, preferably with exposure to rally-raid or W2RC vehicles.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with CAD and structural analysis tools.
- Passion for motorsport, problem-solving mindset, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
