We’re looking for a highly skilled Carbon Composite Technician

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out composite repairs on McLaren GT3 and historic race car bodywork and components.
  • Manufacture composite parts and assemblies to required specifications and quality standards.
  • Support race team operations through trackside composite repair and maintenance activities when required.
  • Assist with race truck loading, unloading, garage set-up, and pack-down during event operations.
  • Order and manage composite materials and consumables for both workshop and trackside support requirements.
  • Work closely with Lead Technicians and Number 1 Mechanics, prioritising bodywork repairs to meet race and testing schedules.
  • Ensure all repairs and manufactured components meet team quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and professional working environment.
  • Support continuous improvement of repair methods, processes, and workshop efficiency.

 

Requirements

  • Experience in composite repair and manufacturing within motorsport, automotive, aerospace, or a similar industry.
  • Knowledge of carbon fibre repair techniques, trimming, fitting, bonding, and finishing processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Flexibility to travel and support race events when required.
