Who we are:

The Haupt Racing Team (HRT) was founded in 2020 by racing driver and entrepreneur Hubert Haupt, and has firmly established itself in international GT3 sports. Its greatest successes to date include the 2021 DTM Drivers' Championship, the 2023 GT World Challenge Europe Drivers' and Teams' Titles (Sprint and Silver Cup), and the Drivers' Title (2025) and three consecutive Teams' Titles (2023, 2024, 2025) in the ADAC GT Masters, as well as class wins and podium finishes in the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring and Spa-Francorchamps. Since the 2025 season, HRT has been running the Ford Mustang GT3 with factory support from Ford in several high-profile racing series and championships. HRT is also actively involved in the promotion of young talent, covering the entire pyramid of driver development, from entry into motorsport in the HRT Kart Team to the highest level of GT racing in the DTM. The joint operations center is the state-of-the-art HRT RACE BASE in Drees, at the Nürburgring, where technical development projects and motorsport events of all kinds are also carried out.

Role Description:

The Car Chief leads and coordinates his crew both at the racetrack and in the workshop.

The Car Chief will be the main contact regarding the build-up of the cars and show great communication skills towards workshop manager, colleague mechanics, engineers and supporting departments.

The Car Chief is motivated to achieve agreed goals and objectives and promote high-standards, quality of service and team spirit in the workforce.

Duties:

  • Support for GT3 vehicles during the race event
  • Preparation and overhauls of racing cars and their components
  • Assembly and repair of the vehicles in the workshop
  • Integration into the Pit Stop Team
  • Compliance with HRT's internal technical notices as well as technical notices from manufacturers and suppliers
  • Responsibility for a professional and clean appearance of the race cars and equipment
  • Ensuring a clean and tidy workspace in accordance with the corporate structure
  • Professional appearance as a representative of the team.

Required Skills:

  • Technical understanding and motorsport skills
  • Communication skills in German and English
  • •Hands-on mentality
  • Proactive problem solver
  • Ideally pit stop experience (impact wrench/wheel)
  • Ability to work in a team, good communication skills and a high standard of work.
  • 1 year of experience as a 2nd mechanic in one of the common junior racing series.
