TEAM Peugeot TotalEnergies operates the Peugeot 9x8 endurance program, representing Peugeot's ambitious foray into the world of endurance racing. The 9x8 is the brand's cutting-edge hybrid prototype developed to compete in the prestigious FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. With its innovative design and advanced hybrid powertrain, the Peugeot 9x8 aims to push the boundaries of performance and efficiency in endurance racing, showcasing Peugeot's commitment to technological innovation and motorsport excellence.

 

Mission :

Lead the development of the system and electrical/electronic architecture of the WEC program

Activities and deliverables:

  • Define the functional architecture of the car's electrical/electronic system.
  • Validate the electrical architecture
  • Manage development of all equipments (computers, harnesses, etc.) electrical/electronic/hybrid systems,
  • Manage and coordinate the validation of these equipments through test plans in the lab, on the benches and on the track
  • Define equipment needs in terms of quantities/deadlines within the allocated budget,
  • Manage the internal/external manufacturing of equipment and arbitrate priorities
  • Ensure relationships with external suppliers in coordination with purchasing
  • Manage the delivery of equipment on time and at the necessary quality/reliability level and arbitrate when necessary
  • Coordinate the relationship with the electricity/electronics lab
  • Manage the operation of this equipment in tests and races
  • Hierarchically manage the development team and trackside operations teams (10/15 people)
  • Participate in the analysis and ensure the correction of defects as quickly as possible in order to achieve the required level of reliability
  • Coordinate relationships with the project and the entities in charge of other components (Engines, Gearbox, Suspension, Steering, Brake, Chassis, etc.)

 

Experience :

  • 10 years minimum in the development of electrical/electronic system equipment for motorsport
  • Expertise in organic/functional architecture, electricity/automotive electronics

 

Education:

  • Electronics engineer, with automotive/aeronautics specialization
  • French min B2 (CECRL), native or bilingual will be a plus
  • English min C1 (CECRL) (Bright test >=2)
