Trackside Systems Engineer

Mahindra Racing is a motor racing team based in Banbury, United Kingdom, competing with an Indian racing license. The team is currently competing in the electric FIA Formula E Championship since the inaugural season in 2014.


Role Summary:

  • Attending all races and test events, ensuring the car sensor configuration is complete and monitoring the overall health of the cars. They also provide necessary diagnostic support whenever issues arise.
  • Help the team during pre-event arrangements, encompassing driver-in-the-loop (DIL) readiness, provision of support for procedural preparedness, and facilitation of calibration preparations.
  • Compile post-event reports comprising investigation findings of any issues identified, as well as the development of corrective measures.
  • Take on the responsibility of overseeing the team members' high voltage (HV) initiatives.


  • 1 to 4 years’ experience in Trackside Motorsport, Automotive R&D or a similar industry.
  • HV systems sign off and investigation.
  • Atlas and System monitor.

Responsibilities include:

  • Race car electronic systems calibration and development.
  • Design of on and off-car electrical systems.
  • Monitoring state of health of the car.
  • Test, sign off and calibration of systems on HiL, DiL and Race car.
  • Support of factory, dyno and track events.
  • Extensive travel.
  • Documentation of all activities and report generation when required.
