The world’s first driverless electric racing car, an extreme motorsport and entertainment platform for the future of road relevant technologies.

We are currently seeking an exceptional Track Side Control and System Engineer working at a junior level and development will be provided on the entire fleet of autonomous cars for Roborace.

To be successful you will need to have an innovative approach and ‘hands on’ experience within a motorsport or high-end automotive environment and have eligibility to work in the UK.

You will be comfortable working under pressure, excited and passionate to deliver within a high performing team environment.

The roles will be based in Oxfordshire during the development and testing stage and also travel internationally to accompany and support Roborace events at major cities across the world, including some Formula E events.

 

Our Technical Requirements

The Track Side Control and System Engineer will be responsible for the monitoring and application of all systems of the car whilst the car is operational. These systems include brake, throttle and steering actuators, low voltage and high voltage systems and the general car control algorithms. Further responsibilities will include the preparation and post analysis of driving events and also defining, developing and optimising the hardware and software specifications for the robocar.

 

We are seeking candidates with an interest and ideally some knowledge in the following areas

  • Data analysis within a motorsport environment with experience of Atlas software or similar.
  • Reading and Interpreting Matlab/Simulink applications.
  • Working with LV components and working with CAN/Networks.
  • Understanding of Sensors and Filtering
  • Controller application.
  • Working within a high voltage environment.
