The 9x8 is the brand's cutting-edge hybrid prototype developed to compete in the prestigious FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Job: Suspension R&D Engineer - Endurance racing


Contract type: Subcontracted by partner


Location: Versailles, France - Min 3 days / week with 2 days home office possible


Role Overview: 

As a Suspension R&D Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of advanced suspension systems. . You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our suspension systems meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and safety.


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the design and development of suspension components and systems, including steering, brakes, springs, anti-roll bars, and linkages.
  • Set and update the development road map for suspension and brakes.
  • Ensure that the quality level of designs is meeting the performance, schedule and cost requirements.
  • Define component rig / track validation plans and follow progresses.
  • Suggest technical improvement, identifying limiting factors and constraints within the perimeter or globally with all stakeholders.
  • Coordinate technical activities within the workshop, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration among engineering, purchasing, and assembly teams.
  • Oversee the prototyping and testing phases, ensuring that all components meet design specifications and performance targets.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the development and testing processes.
  • Conduct research on new materials, technologies, and methodologies to enhance suspension performance.
  • Provide remote technical support during track testing and racing events.


Requirements, knowledge and skills: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in suspension design and development, preferably in a motorsport or high-performance automotive environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA) and simulation tools (e.g., ADAMS).
  • Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics and suspension systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
