Strategy Engineer – Formula E Team
- Reporting to the Technical Director, this role will have responsibility for live Qualifying and Race strategy management, pre-event simulations, and post-event analysis.
- The role also includes the development of tools used in the analysis and decision making.
- Lead competitor analysis, strategy reporting, briefings and debriefs.
Key skillset requirements:
- Precision planning, procedural, compliance, scheduling and communication skills are all vital to ensure all strategy requirements are fulfilled at the track and remote operations room.
- Highly detail orientated but adaptable candidate, experienced with accurately analysing data alongside various inputs from the supporting engineers and driver, to quickly make decisions.
- Excellent and demonstrable trackside or remote operational room engineering ability.
- Ability to remain clear, calm and maintain consistent communication channels with other engineers, drivers and senior management via meetings, reports and the intercom system.
- A strong knowledge of programming, with the ability to develop software tools and models.
- A broad understanding of motorsport, including tyre performance and traffic considerations.
- A proven ability to work to tight deadlines in a group or alone and remain calm under pressure.
- The ideal candidate will have minimum 2 years relevant experience in race strategy, and a strong background in simulation and modelling.

- A flexible approach to working hours and availability to work on weekends is essential.
- A strong degree result in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or Physics.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and multicultural environment.
- Good English written and oral communication skills.
- Self-motivation with a will to contribute to the end goal.
This position is based at Silverstone in our purpose-built workshop with free onsite parking and surrounded by forests and with an onsite gym to unwind during breaks. The role will require some international travel and long flexible hours.
