Work closely with other Simulator staff in the overall operation, ongoing development and maintenance of the driver in the loop simulators .
Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering discipline preferably Computer Science
Duties and Tasks
Develop software tools related to use of the virtual data in the test environment for the race teams, drivers and engineers
Develop simulator workflow tools to enable accurate, efficient, fast and productive test cycles
Enhance the driving experience by developing additional sensory cueing (haptic, auditory, olfactory, visual)
Optimize the simulation software environment to ensure the lowest latency and the highest reliability possible
Develop data visualization tools for data analysis in the simulation and simulator environment
Build/Maintain awareness of technology advances in every aspect of driver in the loop simulators
Operation of driver in the loop simulator
Fault investigation and report generation to cover multi-disciplinary issues and projects
You would be expected to work a 40 hour per week schedule.
Willing and able to work occasional long hours and although rare some weekend work may be necessary.
Required to work on site at Salisbury , NC and assist with other department tasks and duties.
