Race Mechanic

Triple Eight Race Engineering, Australia's most successful motor racing team, is looking for a highly motivated mechanic to join our business, working across our various motorsport programs, which include the Australian Supercars Championship, Super2 Series, GT World Challenge Australia and GT World Challenge Asia.

The role entails the meticulous preparation of Triple Eight Race Engineering race cars and other duties as workloads require, with an emphasis on quality control, consistency and attention to detail.

Tasks include:

• assembly of race cars, strictly adhering to build specs, regulations and set-up sheets
• traveling to and performing at all test days and races in Australia and overseas
• set-up and set-down of race cars
• disassembly
• parts inspection and cleaning
• servicing of components
• performing pit stops at a high level, with a desire to keep improving
• loading and unloading of truck

Required skills:

• Minimum two years’ experience working on race cars, preferably Supercars
• A solid mechanical aptitude

• maintain a good level of fitness
• have strong initiative and intuition
• have very good communication skills
• be able to meet deadlines with a sense of urgency as appropriate in a fast-paced, high performing environment
• have a strong willingness to go the extra distance to ensure the success of the team

Remuneration comprises a competitive salary, superannuation and monetary bonuses based upon race results across all categories.
