DS Penske is looking for a Race Engineer.

engineering.
The key responsibilities are as follows:
Lead and organise the running of one of our race cars at race events. This main task requires you to:
- Use a wide range of vehicle dynamics tools, offline and driver in the loop simulation, to optimise the race car setup, control system parameter tuning and tyre usage to deliver the best possible driver-and-car race result.
- Organise the operational aspects around ensuring the car runs successfully at the racetrack including; car build/job lists, run programming, legality and limits and the associated communication of objectives / procedures / performance review with the team, factory and race driver.
- Help to direct or run the following other sessions/events; Test events when attendance is required, driver in the loop simulator sessions, 7 Post Rig tests, Kinematics and Compliance measurements, Moment of Inertia Measurement, Brake Dyno programs and Remote Room operations.
- Complete detailed analysis of race, simulator and test sessions making concise conclusions / suggestions to enrich the decision-making processes of the Race Team, Tyre, Design, Powertrain and Test Team Groups.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- A robust technical background in Vehicle Dynamics.
- A good understanding of Race Car Control Systems, Tyre and Powertrain technologies.
- Work to the highest standards with an exceptional attitude towards attention to detail.
- Experience and knowledge of Matlab/Simulink, Dymola, CarMaker, Simpack, Chassis Sim, AVL VSM, or any other high-end Vehicle Dynamics tool chain will be of benefit.
- Used to working to own initiative.
- Written and oral communication skills in English.
