YOUR TASKS

• Complex damage analyzes in the overall context of the combustion engine, e-machine and transmission 
• Testing, assessment and further development of high-performance material solutions in close coordination with design and testing 
• Control and evaluation of external analysis and development scopes in the area of damage analysis/materials technology
• Creation of admissibility criteria/test instructions and associated material approvals and tests

YOUR PROFILE

• Technical studies in the field of materials technology/sciences or a comparable course
• Well-founded knowledge of material and damage analysis investigation methods with a focus on metallic materials
• Holistic analytical thinking combined with a very good understanding of the system combustion engine - electric drives
• Experience in the field of non-destructive material testing 
• Ideally experience in handling high-voltage and low-voltage components
• Assertiveness, a high degree of motivation and initiative as part of a small team with direct communication and a high level of personal responsibility
• Business fluent German or English skills and the willingness to learn basic knowledge of the other language are prerequisites
• Experience in working with international suppliers 
• Several years of professional experience in the automotive/racing sector

In the area of quality assurance, you will work on the key components of the combustion engine and high-performance electric drive and make your contribution to competitiveness in a highly competitive environment. You will accompany the components from the development and production of the individual components to the finished high-performance drive for motorsport applications. In the materials technology / laboratory team, you will be responsible for dynamic and complex damage analyzes in the context of the F1 hybrid drive system and will be closely involved in all material technology issues of the F1 drive train development.

ABOUT US

 From 2026, Audi will compete in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship with a specially developed power unit and a factory team.The power unit is developed in Audi Sport's state-of - the-art Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg an der Donau . This is the first Formula 1 drive in Germany since 2009.

With its entry into the pinnacle of motorsport, Audi is taking on its most challenging task to date when it comes to combining sustainability, innovation and maximum performance in motorsport. The new regulations of the international automobile association FIA, which among other things prescribes sustainable synthetic fuels from 2026 and increases the electrical proportion of the hybrid drive unit to almost 50 percent, are decisive for Audi. Audi wants to actively support the transformation of what is by far the most important motorsport series. The drive unit (power unit) is developed at the Neuburg an der Donau site by more than 300 employees. In the future, the Formula 1 program will be the spearhead of factory motorsport commitments.

For Audi's Formula 1 project, theAudi Formula Racing GmbH founded as a 100% subsidiary of Audi Sport GmbH. We are currently putting together a high-performance team for the development of the power unit. Face the challenge in the premier class of motorsport and get involved when Audi writes the next chapter in its glorious motorsport history! We are looking for experts, especially in the technical field.
