Main Responsibilities (outlined and not limited too):
Reporting to the Head of Communications for the Performance Programme:
Act as contact for Performance Programme press enquiries and manage media requests, building strong relationships with communications and publicity counterparts
Prepare written materials for promotional purposes, including press releases, articles and marketing collateral
Research potential motorsport events and seminars for the Head of Performance Programme to attend to ensure the business is best placed to shape its advocacy for electric vehicle use Manage the Performance Programme social media content plan, providing relevant news and assets to the company’s global agency for all NIO Global social platforms Draft and execute the NIO Formula E Team PR activity schedule for all Formula E events – races and test days
Devise and execute all filming days and Performance Programme events media requirements (in conjunction with the Head of Communications)
Assist the Partnership Development team on media content for sponsorship leverage projects Maintain Performance Programme media database
Monitor, analyse and communicate PR results to management as required utilising a press monitoring system
Respond in a timely manner to NIO Formula E Team fan-mail
Qualifications, skills and experience required:
Degree educated preferably in Marketing, PR, Communications or related subject
A PR professional with experience gained in a similar global, high-tech company together with exposure to motorsport a must
Proven experience of proactive and effective media relations through successful relationships with journalists, researching stories and identifying media angles; with ability to develop contacts in new sectors
Exceptional writing and editing skills; with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and effective manner, you’ll equally be at ease creating innovative content Social Media savvy with strong digital media communication skills; evidence of leading and increasing engagement with social media channels
Event planning and execution, meeting and exceeding stakeholder requirements on budget Strong IT skills including PowerPoint and digital technologies
Flexibility to travel extensively as the role requires
Holds an interest in electric vehicle industry and sustainable/environmental technology

NIO UK is responsible for the company’s Performance Programme. The key functions of NIO UK include management of the NIO Formula E Team, EP9 supercar development/production and ‘Advanced Concept Engineering’ services for NIO production cars globally. The NIO UK head office is in London, with the Performance Programme, Engineering and Race Team facilities based in Oxford and Donington Park.
