EXCELR8 BTCC have an exciting opportunity to join our expanding operation for the 2022/2023 BTCC season.  

We are looking for a professional Operations Manager to coordinate and oversee our BTCC operation


To be considered for this Operations Manager role, previous experience of a comparative role within motorsport or a similar fast paced commercial environment is essential. You will need to have drive, determination and a can-do attitude to succeed in this role.  We’re looking for the successful candidate to have experience of complex decision making and strategic thinking when faced with challenging situations and programme timelines. Strong organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking are essential to thrive in this role.

This role also offers the opportunity for progression within the business.

In this role the successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Leading projects from start to completion, ensuring they are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Develop detailed operation plans to track/monitor operations
  • Ensure all operations are carried out in an appropriate, cost effective way
  • Purchasing and planning stock
  • Overseeing workshop efficiency
  • Establishing and managing direct relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Manage internal resource availability and allocation


Skills and qualifications:

  • Proven experience as Operations Manager or similar role
  • Knowledge of organisational effectiveness and operations management
  • Experience budgeting and forecasting
  • Familiarity with business and financial principles
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Leadership ability
  • Outstanding organisational skills
  • Be flexible and able to work evenings & weekends in addition to weekdays.
  • Be self-motivated and to motivate others to thrive in challenging situations
  • Be able to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales.
  • Communicate effectively, positively and respectfully with all colleagues
  • Have excellent problem-solving abilities quickly and efficiently
  • Good understanding of stock and budget control
  • Trailer licence is desirable or a willingness to undertake the test
