The Role

To act as a Mobile Workshop Technician working on a part time or self-employed basis for 3 – 4 days period month. 


Key Responsibilities

The company has a wide range of customer specific requirements within the OEM, aftermarket and performance/motorsport divisions.The post holder is required to carry out and be an effective mobile technician ensuring our customer specifics are met.Training on fluid transfer systems and specific product knowledge will be provided by us. 


The successful candidate must be able to:-

  • Follow all standard and regulatory work practices during installation customer specific site work practices.
  • Co-ordination with Goodridge engineers to establish specifications/ scope of work for each installation project.
  • Communicate with both Goodridge and customer project engineers to plan timing of customer visits.
  • Where relevant, ensure all pre-visit documentation is completed and approved to support the visit, as per Goodridge or the customers request (i.e. on-site procedures, risk assessments, etc).
  • Professional installation of fluid transfer systems on customer prototype vehicles.
  • Maintenance of equipment and materials inventoried on the mobile workshop.
  • Ensure excellent product knowledge of Goodridge components and systems.
  • Providing feedback to design engineers, project managers, or relevant members of the Goodridge team to support customer needs, change management or issue resolution.
  • Maintain project timeline and implementation schedules.


Performance standards

  • Proven experience in automotive or motorsport mechanical installation.
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to explain complex designs and concepts in non-technical language.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage relationships with customer engineers on site.
  • Ability to assess and manage onsite health and safety risks.
  • In-depth knowledge about the industry and products.
  • Physical ability to access vehicle interiors for parts installation.
  • Full driving license and ability to drive a medium size panel van



Minimum 3 years technical experience within a similar manufacturing/ engineering/ automotive/ motorsport environment.



General level education in Maths, English and a technical subject.


Work Status

Part Time / Self-Employed



This position will require some travel.



This person will operationally and functionally report to the Head of UK P&M Business Development Manager.

This role is subject to flexible working hours to suit the requirements of the Company. This role may be developed/ changed as and when necessary to take into account changes within the organisation in line with the Company's goals, objectives and contractual and legal obligations.
