Dragon Racing (DR) opens a new position in the racing team: IT Support Technician.

  • Report to the Team Manager on track.
  • IT Support person is in charge to set up all the IT equipment on track (IT box, Internet, LAN wiring, in garage computers, IT boxes, Overhead, automatic systems, pit timer)
  • He is responsible for end user support in the Dragon Racing team
  • Worldwide travels are expected

 

Responsibilities - Main duties:

The following summarizes the responsibilities and duties

  • Set up and enhance the IT equipment (Software and hardware) used by the team on track
  • Set up and maintain the different software of the team
  • Set up and maintain the IT box of the team ( NAS drive, Dropbox, switches, modem, DHCP server, printers, cameras, third party boxes, SBG software)
  • Set up and maintain SBG race watch software
  • Maintain the equipment in interface with third party suppliers Alkamel; MRTC, Marelli
  • Provide technical IT support to users at trackside and at the office in the UK
  • Maintain communication lines with Group IT in USA and UK. Occasional travel may be required to these sites outside of the Trackside support requirement. 
  • Support Group IT in the administration including backup/archive and software licensing. 
  • Support and administer Windows based services such as File Permissions, software Updates, DNS and DHCP. 
  • Support specialized engineering tools including MAT software suite, Atlas, MATLAB, Simulink. 
  • Support trackside intercom system alongside 3rd party supplier. 
  • Assist with the maintenance of assets, using management tools. 
  • Assist with delivery and maintenance of trackside backup
  • Ensure up to date documentation and accurate reporting as required. 
  • Other duties as assigned by the Team Manager. 

 

Qualifications, skills and experience:

  • 5 years’ experience minimum in the IT field.
  • Ability to set up a complete set of IT equipment
  • Motor racing experience would be a distinct advantage. 
  • Excellent communication skill
  • Daily Reporting on the job done
  • Positive and flexible attitude towards work.
  • Respects and works well with others 

 

Work environment:

  • Require worldwide Travel
  • Ability to prioritize tasks within a high-pressure and time constraint environment.
