Mahindra Racing is a motor racing team based in Banbury, United Kingdom, competing with an Indian racing licence. The team is currently competing in the electric FIA Formula E Championship since the inaugural season in 2014.

 

Job Description
Purpose of the Role:

The purpose of the role is to manage the HR function, working with and supporting a wide range of stakeholders, to build organisational and people capability, shaping and implementing effective people strategies and activities, in line with overall business objectives.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Working with Senior Management and key stakeholders in relation to business strategy and organisational design/structure
  • Building relationships with people throughout the business
  • Ensuring record keeping and reporting is compliant with UK legislation and company procedures
  • Creation and review of people policies and procedures
  • Provide support and guidance in relation to people practices
  • Communicating and embedding of employer brand
  • Responsibility for all elements of the employee lifecycle
  • Manage and oversee all areas of Employee Relations (with specialist legal support when and if required)
  • Implementation and embedding of employee engagement initiatives
  • Responsibility for learning and development, in line with organisational requirements
  • Coaching and providing feedback to key stakeholder to help improve business efficiency
  • Questioning and challenging others to get to the root of people and business issues
  • Annual goal setting and performance review cycles
  • Oversee the annual bonus computation and pay review process
  • Responsibility for all areas of Health & Safety

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Essential

  • Educated to CIPD level 5 or equivalent desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Full understanding of the employee lifecycle
  • Proven track record of working at a similar level
  • Good understanding of UK employment law and its application
  • Be self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Experience of having recruited employees from overseas and the visa application process is desirable
  • Ethical and principles-led approach
  • An understanding of other core business functions would be advantageous
