HIL Systems Engineer

Mahindra Racing is a motor racing team based in Banbury, United Kingdom, competing with an Indian racing license. The team is currently competing in the electric FIA Formula E Championship since the inaugural season in 2014

 

Role Overview:
A Role is available for a Hardware in the Loop systems engineer in a refreshed department at Mahindra Racing. We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced engineer to join us on a full-time basis reporting to the Head of Control systems. This engineer will be responsible for developing the systems for testing and validation of on-car control software.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Development of hardware and software components of the Hardware In the Loop (HIL) system for testing of on-car control software.
  • Liaise with control systems, simulation, and performance groups to define software testing requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Simulation department to develop components common to the Driver In the Loop (DIL) system.
  • Develop an automated testing framework for functional and regression testing.

 

Qualifications, skills and experience required:

  • A degree in a relevant discipline, however, experience and proven track record will be considered.
  • Experience using Vector systems including VT System hardware, CANoe and CAPL scripting.
  • Experience of embedded code testing, including automated functional and regression testing tools such as PyTest and PyCANoe.
  • Experience developing plant models in MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Understanding of CAN, UDP, TCP/IP communication protocols.
  • Familiarity with rFPro driver simulation environments.
  • Experience working with MAT tools such as ATLAS, System monitor would be an advantage.
