(Full time job, 12 months contract)
You will take full responsibility for two WRC Marketing cars, this includes build-up, preparations and modifications, rollouts and attendance at all events with support of a second mechanic. The role requires flexibility in all aspects of the rally car assembly and the responsibility to ensure involved departments meet all deadlines to deliver required parts. Furthermore, this position includes travelling to all scheduled Marketing events as well as event related duties such as packing, build-up, dismantling, on-site presence, etc.
You should have a mechanic education and at least 5 years experience as a mechanic, preferable in motorsports. You need to have the ability to work to the highest standards and to meet often tight deadlines; you should be able to work independent and flexible and be willing to travel. Team language is English and ideally, you bring a truck driving license or at least a BE trailer license. You should show a “can do” attitude together with the ability to think “out of the box“ and be a team player.
Based in Alzenau, near Frankfurt in Germany, Hyundai Motorsport GmbH is responsible for Hyundai’s global motorsport activities and primarily for its World Rally Championship programme. In parallel to its successful WRC campaign, Hyundai Motorsport’s Customer Racing department was created with the aim of enhancing Hyundai’s motorsport image around the world with the Hyundai i20 R5 rally car and the Hyundai i30 N TCR for circuit racing.
