What’s the role?
The successful candidate will oversee the day to day running of the operation to ensure that all daily targets are met in the most cost effective, efficient, and safe manner in line with our policies and procedures.
You will have the opportunity to become involved in a wide variety of exciting event logistics planning projects, and to travel abroad supporting the customer and supervising the events function. While at events you will carry out tyre fittings working in line with customer schedules. You will need to have a valid LGV C+E licence, CPC & digi card, as well as holding a valid passport.
What will I be responsible for?
Producing and controlling an agreed amount of resource (vehicle, driver, trailer) ensuring all legal constraints are adhered to (Working Time Directive and EU Drivers’ Hours regulations)
Creating effective transport plans and schedules for the events calendar including booking flights, coaches and hotels where needed
Effectively managing drivers throughout the season escalating any issues as they arise, ensuring customer service is kept to a high standard
Supporting the customer whilst drivers are at F1 Motorsports events, and any other European events as required
Ensuring that any in house systems are kept up to date when required to ensure any reports are accurate
Understanding and achieving specific targets regarding Utilisation, Revenue Per Hour, Cost pence per mile (CPPM), Drivers Wage Percentage, Empty legs
Reviewing allocated customers making sure that work is planned to time and correct equipment is efficiently utilised
Constantly communicate with customer and drivers to ensure customer KPI targets are achieved and maintained
What kind of person are you looking for?
Due to the nature of the role we are looking for dependable and committed individuals. The successful applicant will ideally have a proven track record within an event planning environment, preferably within the industry. Any previous experience of planning systems/software would be an advantage. In addition to this, it would also be advantageous to any candidates that are able to speak additional languages. Holding a LGV C+E licence is essential.
The successful candidate should have the ability to work on their own initiative and the willingness to resolve issues. They must be able to organise their own workload and work in a pressurised environment and meet deadlines. They should have a confident and effective communication ability. There is a requirement to work away from home, which could be for up to 12 weeks at a time on events.
The applicant should also be PC literate with knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. It would be advantageous to have previous worked / travelled within Europe or worldwide.
