ECU Software Engineer – Darkside Developments

We are one of the UKs leading aftermarket performance and tuning companies, and are looking for an experienced to fill a full time position.

The successful candidate will be working with OEM Diesel ECUs, as well as Standalone Aftermarket systems. Our projects range from customer road cars to bespoke drag and track car builds.

The ideal candidate will have diesel calibration experience; however the specific diesel skills can be quickly learnt on the job with the right attitude.

Engine Calibration / Mapping experience is Crucial

As part of the development role you will have to “reverse engineer” mapping code from OEM ECUs, therefore table identification and hexadecimal structure understanding are crucial. You should also have a solid understanding of engine operations. The ability to find limiters, locate diagnostic values and rescale maps for the use of bigger turbochargers, high flow injectors and high pressure pumps is a must.

The role involves a significant amount of research and development of new products and systems.

Experience and Dedication are more important to us than academic qualifications.

The Candidate’s must Demonstrate:

·         Good problem solving ability.

·         Good verbal and written communication skills.

This is a chance to be part of a highly motivated and dedicated team in a non-corporate environment, pushing the boundaries of Diesel Tuning.
