GTO Engineering is a leading automotive authority on Ferrari servicing, repair, restoration, engine building, parts, event support and acquisition. We are now expanding our team to include an additional Engine Build Technician.
Job purpose
Assist with new engine builds, and rebuilds of original Ferrari engines.
Duties and responsibilities
All aspects of engine building;
Inspecting and cleaning new and used engine components prior to assembly
Reporting component shortages or defects
Building of sub-assemblies and complete engines in line with GTO’s established specifications and procedures
Post dyno inspection and final checks prior to engine delivery
Completing relevant documentation at all stages
Experience required
Previous employment history as an engine builder is essential
Experience in motorsport / classic car sector preferred
Experience in basic machining (surface grinding, turning, milling etc.) would be advantageous
Technical skills and specialised knowledge
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Familiar with using specialist engine building tooling and measurement equipment
Must have own tools
Educational attainment and qualifications
Ideally will have completed a relevant apprenticeship and gained around 5 years further experience in this or a very similar field

Capable of working independently as well as part of a team
Good attention to detail and problem solving
Clear communication to others on the status of work in progress
Adaptability and the ability to establish priorities
Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
Salary depending on qualifications and experience
28 days leave including Bank Holidays + additional holiday purchase scheme (not contractual)
