BMW Group is offering you a challenging position as a Development Engineer (f/m) within the vehicle

performance and simulation group for their BMW race cars. You will be responsible for the vehicle dynamics

based on predecessor vehicles and analysis of competitors.

In addition, you will be responsible for simulations and will decide where to place focal points in development,

taking into account technical regulations and analysis of the greatest efficiency potentials, and thus achieve the best

possible overall package.

You should have:

  • University degree in engineering, mechanical engineering, vehicle technology or a comparable course of study.
  • Extended experience as a simulation, race or performance engineer in premium racing sports (F1, LMP, DTM, …).
  • In-depth knowledge of driving dynamics and the functionality and properties of racecars.
  • Knowledge of the development and evaluation of overall vehicle concepts and in all performance-relevant specialist departments for racecars.
  • Extensive knowledge of measuring methodology, measuring technology and data evaluation for racecars on test rigs and on the racetrack.
  • In-depth knowledge of simulation tools used within motorsport, as well as in programming and software development, e.g. in Matlab Simulink.
  • Business-fluent English (advanced knowledge of German).
  • Teamwork and communication skills.
  • Assertiveness and pro-active work approach.
  • Analytical, conceptual and interdisciplinary thinking.
