Team Rosberg:

Team Rosberg GmbH is a motor racing organization founded in 1994 by former Formula One world champion Keke Rosberg and has been competing in DTM as Audi works squad since 2006. It is headquartered at Neustadt an der Weinstraße in Germany.


This position reports to the Race Engineer and the Technical Director, and is based in Neustadt/Weinstrasse, DE. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing all aspects of car and driver performance of one DTM car.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define, Develop, Optimize and Validate the Performance Targets for Car and Driver
  • Support the DIL Simulation Engineers in order to extract the maximum performance potential out of Car / Aerodynamics & Tyre Package.
  • Support/Develop DIL Simulator in order to improve correlation between track and simulator data.
  • Support/Co-Operate with the Race Engineer to maximize Race Performance during the season. Analyse & Verify Data.
  • Support Race Engineer to execute run programme and plan setup changes.
  • Work with the Chief Mechanic and Number One on the car, to ensure smooth operation during preparation and sessions
  • Evaluate, analyse and report technical data, simulation data, geometry info, tyre information, 7 post data, wind tunnel data, etc


Qualifications, skills and experience required:

  • Degree level academic background in engineering, computer sciences or related academic subjects.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Motorsport trackside as a Race or Data/Performance Engineer. Formula 1, Formula E, DTM, LMP1 experience recommended.
  • Experience in other Formulas would be beneficial
  • Effective written and oral communication skills in English, German is beneficial.
  • Strong MBA Tool knowledge and thorough understanding of vehicle dynamics.
  • Excellent understanding and application of Matlab and/or other typically used vehicle dynamics simulation software and/or data processing tools.
  • Capability of establishing Test & Validation plans for on-track verification of specific performance parameters.
  • Good understanding of lap time simulation tools and simulator environments is recommended.
  • Experience with DIL Simulators is beneficial.
  • Practical approach by using rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions.
  • Personal flexibility to work hours as required.
