Race Staff.com is a online web based Recruitment site conceived by John Travis, after many years as head of design in leading race car manufacturers he felt the time was right to offer a comprehensive job and recruitment option to the market place.

“As someone who has worked in the motor racing industry all my life, it’s always been difficult to get good people when you start a project. You could place a conventional advert in a magazine but then would have spend hours just to sift through all the CV’s who were replying as they were trying to break into the industry, it could be word of mouth or it could be through agencies, but they were always expensive. In a conversation over a beer with my old friend Russell Howard ex race driver and now in the PR and online marketing business, thought there had to be a better way.”

That conversation went something like this;

John “Well I have to go now as I need some guys to work on a new project, I have to have every one in place in a couple of weeks, I will be on the ‘phone for most of the day and night trying to track down designers, engineers and all the other people I need, the only way to find them is to ring around everyone I know and hopefully land on the right people” every time I find a project, I have the same problems, and good staff are always the key to success.

Russell “surely there is a better way, I think we could design a website to do all that for you”

John “OK but it would have to be good, and the candidates would need the option to remain anonymous. Then they would need to receive some kind of message immediately a job is offered.”

Russell “we can do all that and more, they would be anonymous if they wanted and they could get the message ‘alerts’ by email and text”

John “Get to work and lets see if it can be the best in the business worldwide”

Russell “good job I like a challenge !”
